Sri Lanka Unveiled

International flight to Colombo.

Upon arrival, you’ll be transferred to your hotel in Colombo. Spend the afternoon at your leisure before joining us for a welcome cocktail and dinner.

Today, embark on a half-day tour, beginning with the lively temples and bazaars of Pettah. Then, visit the historic Old Dutch Hospital, a standout feature of the newly restored Fort complex. After lunch, enjoy a relaxing afternoon at your leisure.

This morning, enjoy breakfast before embarking on a leisurely journey to Dambulla. After lunch, visit the Dambulla Rock Temple, a remarkable site featuring a series of impressive caves adorned with over 2000 square meters of painted walls and ceilings, originally gilded by an ancient king to honour this sacred place of worship.

Today begins with an early morning journey north to Anuradhapura, the spiritual heart of the Cultural Triangle. On the way, visit the tranquil village of Mihintale, home to a sacred mountain peak and temple complex. After lunch, embark on a city tour of Anuradhapura, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the first capital of ancient Sri Lanka. Known as the grandest of ancient cities, Anuradhapura’s ruins are among South Asia’s most evocative, featuring a rich collection of crumbling temples, vast monasteries, and ornate palaces. Discover the city’s fascinating history and admire the revered Bodhi tree.

Undoubtedly a highlight of the tour, today’s excursion takes you to the breathtaking Sigiriya Rock Fortress. This UNESCO World Heritage Site features the ruins of an ancient city perched on the slopes and summit of a towering granite peak, rising dramatically above the surrounding jungle. Climb the steps carved into the rock face to explore the fortified palace and take in the spectacular views over this historic citadel. Afterward, return to your hotel for lunch and enjoy a relaxing afternoon at your leisure.

After an early breakfast, depart from Dambulla and head to the ancient city of Polonnaruwa. Set amidst gently rolling woodland, explore the monumental ruins of this once-thriving garden city. Afterward, continue your journey to Passikudah for a relaxing retreat.

Today is yours to relax and enjoy the tranquil beauty of Passikudah. Spend the day unwinding on the powder-white sands and swimming in the emerald waters of Sri Lanka’s peaceful, less-explored east coast.

After breakfast, journey toward Kandy, stopping at a spice garden in Matale along the way. After lunch, continue to the Central Hills of Kandy and visit the renowned Temple of the Tooth, which houses Sri Lanka's most sacred Buddhist relic—a tooth of the Buddha. Arrive in time for the "pooja" ceremony, when the heavily guarded chamber holding the relic opens to both pilgrims and travelers.

Nestled among misty hills, the charming city of Kandy is rich in history, culture, and beauty. Start your day with a visit to the renowned Peradeniya Botanical Gardens, home to an impressive variety of exotic palms, vibrant orchids, and over 4,000 species of trees and plants. After the tour, enjoy the rest of the afternoon and evening at your leisure.

Sri Lanka is one of the world’s largest exporters of tea, and today you’ll travel to Nuwara Eliya, the heart of the country’s tea industry since the 19th century. On the way to your hotel, stop at a tea plantation and inhale the delightful aroma of the famous Ceylon tea.

Your day begins with a morning tour of Nuwara Eliya, where you'll drive through lush green tea plantations, the vibrant saris of the women working the fields adding a burst of colour to the landscape. Enjoy a traditional lunch in the local village of Ella, with stunning, panoramic views over the mist-covered landscapes stretching beyond.

Udawalawe National Park is famous for its exceptional elephant sightings, set against the breathtaking backdrop of surrounding hills. Rise early this morning for a thrilling Jeep safari through the park, where you’ll encounter elephants, deer, water buffalo, monkeys, and a variety of bird species. Just outside the park, visit the Elephant Transit Home, an inspiring project dedicated to rehabilitating injured elephants. On your way back to the hotel, stop by Katharagama Temple, a sacred site where all four religions of Sri Lanka coexist in harmony. The rest of the day is yours to enjoy at leisure.

After some free time this morning, embark on an exciting Jeep safari in nearby Yala National Park. Known for its high concentration of leopards, you might be fortunate enough to spot one of these elusive creatures. In addition, keep an eye out for elephants, sloths, and deer as you explore the park’s diverse wildlife.

Departing Tissamaharama, you'll journey to Mirissa, a picturesque crescent-shaped beach bordered by coconut palms and soft golden sands. It’s the perfect spot to unwind, sip on fresh coconut water, and relax in this tropical paradise.

This morning, travel to Galle, home to an ancient fort and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This national treasure has been shaped by the Portuguese, Dutch, and British, each leaving their unique imprint. Wander through the tranquil streets, lined with colonial-era buildings, charming restaurants, and quaint boutique shops.
