Today marks the start of your South India adventure as you board your international outbound flight to Chennai. Settle in for your journey and anticipate the rich cultural experiences, heritage sites, and scenic landscapes that await you.
After breakfast at the hotel, embark on a full-day guided tour of Chennai. Visit the Kapaleeshwar Temple, Sri Parthasarathy Temple, Ramakrishna Temple, and Fort St. George (the oldest fort in Chennai). Explore the National Art Gallery, St. Mary’s Church, Anna Zoological Park, Birla Planetarium, Kalakshetra, and the Theosophical Society. Additionally, visit the buildings that house the Secretariat and Legislative Assembly of Tamil Nadu, and enjoy the famous Marina Beach (the second largest in the world) and Elliots Beach.
After breakfast at the hotel, check out and drive to Puducherry, with an en-route visit to Mahabalipuram. Explore the Thirukadalmallai, Shore Temple, Pancha Pandava Rathas, Arjuna’s Penance, Caves, Krishna’s Butterball, and the India Seashell Museum. You can also enjoy the Mahabalipuram Beach, with opportunities for surfing and views of the Shore Temple.
After completing your sightseeing in Mahabalipuram, continue the drive to Puducherry. Upon arrival, check in to your pre-booked hotel for an overnight stay.
After breakfast at the hotel, embark on a sightseeing tour of Puducherry. Visit Auroville town, Aurobindo Ashram, the Government Museum, The Sacred Heart Basilica, the French War Memorial, Mahe de Labourdonnais St, and Pondy Bazaar.
