International flight to Colombo(Bandaranaike International Airport).

Upon arrival at Bandaranaike International Airport and after completing immigration formalities, you will be greeted by our airport representative who will assist you to your vehicle. You will then be transferred directly to your hotel in Negombo for check-in.

Explore Negombo with a city tour including a visit to the bustling fish market. This coastal town, once a key trading port during Portuguese and Dutch times, still showcases charming canals, creeks, and a rich colonial heritage centred around the cinnamon trade.

As the day ends, enjoy a scenic boat ride on the Negombo Lagoon at sunset. Savor a refreshing Arrack cocktail or king coconut while admiring the lagoon’s abundant aquatic life, mangroves, and various water birds such as herons and cormorants.

Return to your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay in Negombo.

After breakfast at the hotel, transfer to Anuradhapura via Chilaw. En route, visit the historic Munneswaram Temple, believed to have been established during the era of the Ramayana. This temple complex, dedicated to Lord Shiva and other Hindu deities, is renowned for its serene setting and vibrant festivals like Maha Shivaratri.

Later, visit Mihintale Temple at sunset, the birthplace of Sri Lankan Buddhism, offering insight into the origins and cultural impact of Buddhism in the country.

After breakfast, visit Sri Maha Bodhi, a sacred shrine where Buddhists pray to the ancient Bodhi Tree believed to grant wishes. Next, explore Ruwanweli Maha Seya, an iconic white-domed stupa symbolizing Sri Lanka’s Buddhist heritage.

Continue to Isurumuniya Temple, known for its intricate rock carvings, including the famous “Isurumuniya Lovers” relief. Then visit Thuparamaya, home to a relic of Buddha’s collar bone, highlighting its importance in Buddhist worship and Sri Lanka-India relations.

Evening Safari at Minneriya National Park - These national parks in Habarana are the best places in the country to see wild elephants, which are often present in huge numbers of elephants.

Climb Sigiriya Rock Fortress, most iconic landmarks and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Sigiriya was built in the 5th century CE by King Kashyapa I. The king chose the site for its strategic location and natural defenses, constructing a grand fortress and royal palace on the summit.

Experience the traditional village life - Enjoy a scenic Catamaran ride in the reservoir, a relaxing trip with plenty of nature and wildlife with the guidance of an expert. You can experience traditional village life and a walk through the village and vegetable crops in the area. Next, you can get a special experience of the pleasure of village life in a village house.

Explore Polonnaruwa Ancient Ruins - The historic city of Polonnaruwa is full of ruins and sights from the 11th to 13th centuries. These were the heyday of the Sri Lankan sculptures. The city actually consists of three parts, Dalada Maluwa, the northern monuments, and the royal citadel. Most of the ruins are in the Dalada Maluwa, also called Quadrangle 'square'. The royal citadel contains relics of the royal palace and the audience hall.

The temple is known for its large statue of the Buddha and its peaceful, tranquil setting. It attracts both pilgrims and visitors for its spiritual significance and stunning vistas, making it a popular spot for reflection and photography.

Enjoy a scenic train ride to Haputale, traveling through the untouched hill country on a historic 19th-century railway. Note that this is a simple local train with basic comfort.
